They deliver narratives, facilitate media campaigns, produce, and collect content, and manage metrics. They work across multiple projects simultaneously and maintain relationships with the media and other stakeholders in order to effectively communicate our programs, values, and mission.The Digital Marketing Specialist creates, implements, measures, and manages social media content and campaigns on multiple social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) to advance conservation goals by reaching targeted audiences with key messages about TNC's work. They are responsible for writing web features, as needed, and building and updating website content as well as producing e-newsletters for communicating with targeted audiences.They work closely with their team and key stakeholders to develop content that aligns with our organizational priorities and values; matches our brand voice and tone; and helps establish our position as an expert on key conservation. They also support integrated digital advocacy campaigns and work with marketing leaders to execute a visibility strategy for chapter leadership by posting new content on behalf of leaders and developing recommendations for best practices on key platforms (e.g. LinkedIn). They manage the online communities on these platforms, engaging with commenters and other handles as necessary, in order to build our audience size and influence conversations relevant to our work. They use software systems to track and analyze web metrics and social media trends, and work with senior marketing managers to implement strategic recommendations. They help advance our social media strategy by bringing new knowledge and thinking to our existing platforms and helping us establish baselines and goals for new platforms (e.g. YouTube). Periodic travel is required to complete work and for meetings and team retreats.As the Digital Marketing Specialist, IA, MO, AR, you will:Coordinates and executes an editorial calendar for multiple social media accounts on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.Collaborates with staff across job functions and geographies to ensure our social media presence is aligned with our organizational priorities and values.Tracks and reports metrics and trends relevant to our social media accounts and web pages.Makes recommendations for how to iterate our social media approach to best reach our target audiences and advance our conservation goals.Produces digital content for web and email as needed.Manages digital and photo archive.Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.Works within a budget to complete assigned projects or work.Opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks.Works with vendors/other parties to execute projects/deliverables.WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOUThe ideal candidate will have all or some of these qualifications. If you don't have all of them, apply anyway and tell us about your skills and experience:Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.Experience in marketing to diverse audiences.Experience creating and posting social media content on behalf of an organization.Experience managing multiple social media accounts.Experience producing web pages and e-mail newsletters.Solid knowledge of best practices for social media metrics reporting.Experience with social media scheduling software (e.g. Khoros)Experience with design software (e.g. Canva) as well as photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe CS)Experience with email software such as MailChimpExperience with web production and content management systems (e.g., AEM)Proven enthusiasm for developing knowledge of social media trends and evolving platforms.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Basic application knowledge of project management principles.Practical application of marketing concepts.Other related duties as assigned.WHAT YOU'LL BRINGBachelor's degree in related field and 5 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience cultivating and managing client/customer relationships.Experience writing, editing and proofreading.Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects.WHAT WE BRINGSince 1951, TNC has been doing work you can believe in. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
