Program Manager/ UX Designer

Our client, the world's leading search engine and technology company, is seeking a Program Manager/ UX Designer for a 4 month contract position in their New York, NY location. This will be a hybrid position and requires being onsite Tuesday through Thursday.
Summary:
The UX Designer on the team will be responsible for creating user-centric designs that help users get the most out of their experience. Through various workshops, we have a long backlog of ideas that should be turned into visual concepts and prototypes. With a deep understanding of UX principles and a passion for innovation, the ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the cross-functional product team, like UX research, product managers, technical program managers, marketing managers, and engineers to bring ideas to life. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional UX designs for complex systems and technologies.
Mandatory Skill/Experience/Education:Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, design, or applicable years of experience 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on complex systems and technologies.Strong understanding of UX principles, best practices, and methodologies.Proven ability to deliver innovative and user-centric designs that meet business objectives and user needs.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and defend design concepts to diverse audiences.Passion for innovation and a desire to drive positive change through design.Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Rapid Prototyping and Visualization: Proficiency in quickly translating ideas into visual concepts in Figma.Ability to generate a wide range of creative and innovative design solutions.User-Centered Design Approach: Understanding of user needs and ability to design solutions that meet those needs.

Desired Skill/Experience/Education:
Experience in the relevant industry or product domain: Familiarity with apps can be helpful but is not essential.Motion Design or Animation Skills: Ability to create interactive prototypes and animations can add depth to the visualizations.User Research and Testing Experience: While not the primary focus, some experience in gathering user feedback can be beneficial.Knowledge of Accessibility Standards: Ensuring designs are inclusive and accessible to all users.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $80.10 - $106.34 depending on experience
