Description
We are looking for a collaborative, technically-minded Marketing Manager to accelerate testing, growth, and optimization strategies for Amazon's payment and financial services products globally. This is a unique opportunity for someone interested in the intersection of marketing tech and machine learning/recommendation engines, with high standards for the customer experience.
About the team:
The Amazon Payments organization builds the foundational systems and products that allow Amazon to accept payments for all the goods, content and services that Amazon offers around the world. MAPLE is the purpose-built merchandising and recommendations tech that global Amazon Payments marketers use to reach customers with personalized payment and financial services offers.
Key job responsibilities
Develop, launch, and manage scalable mechanisms to drive Amazon customer experience improvements, and MAPLE user (marketer) efficiencies
Scale A/B testing across MAPLE users globally
Leverage data to identify process and product improvement opportunities
Develop key performance metric benchmarks for merchandising content that runs on MAPLE
Act as a force-multiplier, increasing MAPLE tooling adoption through training and shared learnings or insights
Identify and drive new opportunities to drive user satisfaction and productivity
A day in the life
The MAPLE Marketing Manager partners directly with cross-functional team members (product management, tech, data engineering) and global Amazon Payments marketers to increase productivity and drive customer experience improvements. Through their deep curiosity of “how things work”, the marketing manager delivers against a roadmap that directly impacts marketers, with cascading impacts to end customers throughout Amazon’s shopping journey. They are responsible for developing and implementing global strategies, rigorously building and expanding resources to increase usage of MAPLE tooling, and identifying process and product opportunities leveraging data. The MAPLE Marketing Manager also has an opportunity to influence technical product roadmap decisions and trade-offs based on their learnings and insights.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Experience owning and driving large-scale cross-functional programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels
Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives
Experience in the marketing tech/product development space; consulting, training on tooling, or related program management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $98,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
