Leads development and execution of all brand strategies to ensure profitable, sustainable, long-term growth while delivering top-line, grow margin and bottom-line annual goals.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Leads development and senior leadership alignment of strategic (1-3 year) brand plans.

Leads strategies to drive long-term growth and continuous P&L improvement. Understand the drivers of the P&L and proactively identifies levers to improve topline, gross margin and bottom-line.

Accountable to deliver annual plan top- and bottom-line results, market share and household penetration. Develop the channel, pricing, trade promotional strategies in collaboration with cross-functional experts and ensure alignment with the overall brand strategy. Partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to identify the right go-to-market activities to enable excellent execution at-shelf; creates consumer and shopper-centric sell stores for customers.

Translates consumer & customer insights into brand/portfolio building ideas and activities.

Owns development, execution and adherence to brand strategy and positioning across all consumer touchpoints. Leads development and execution of annual integrated marketing campaigns. Leads and manages brand agency relationships, annual scope of work alignments and annual agency reviews.

Innovation/New Products: Accountable for defining and delivering close-in innovation (such as rotations, limited-time offers). New Platforms/Transformative Innovation: Work closely with Innovation and R&D leadership to help develop and qualify new products based on what will resonate most convincingly with consumers and retailers.

Owns annual brand budget process and senior leadership alignment to effectively and efficiently allocate resources to achieve brand objectives.

Develops and directs activities of direct, indirect, and functional reports, including hiring, performance management, and development.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required, MBA preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

10+ years experience. CPG Brand Management experience preferred.

Knowledge: Brand & General management, NPD commercialization, Integrated Marketing Campaign development, planning & execution, agency management, experience building iconic brands with a clear strategy, brand purpose and consumer experience.

Skills: Possesses critical thinking and decision-making skills. Requires strong planning, organizational, and analytical problem solving capability, excellent presentation skills, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Strong ability to coach and manage employees, particularly to enhance brand management knowledge. Ability to interact and influence cross-team collaboration while driving projects to conclusion that deliver business results. Track record of defining the destination for a brand and mobilizing resources to enable the vision. Track record of delivering results in dynamic fast-paced environments.

Abilities: Strategic ability – comfort in white space; ability to connect data points and information to establish a clear path, ability to translate consumer insights into meaningful business opportunities, strong track record and overall proven business acumen, project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver results, persuasiveness and able to influence, ability to effectively manage, influence and inspire cross-functional teams and external agency partners.
