Position Summary
The Marketing Communications team at Vista Equity Partners is responsible for spearheading all marketing and corporate communications initiatives on behalf of the Firm. This team plays a pivotal role in shaping and conveying Vista's brand message, both internally and externally. The team manages internal communications to ensure cohesive and effective information flow within the organization, while also orchestrating external campaigns that enhance Vista's market presence and engagement with stakeholders. Through strategic planning and creative execution, the Marketing Communications team supports the company's corporate strategy and objectives, driving the Firm's visibility and reputation.
The Director, Marketing Communications role is an exciting opportunity to strategize and plan out compelling collateral that resonates across Vista's core audiences: institutional investors, private wealth advisors / RIAs, enterprise software companies and Vista's global employees. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing Communications, who oversees Content & various Communications programs, the ideal candidate will bring a creative storytelling sensibility to every project.
This role is based in Austin, TX and is for an immediate start.
Responsibilities
Design a strategic plan to increase executive visibility across touchpoints such as industry events, podcasts and third-party content. Manage Vista's speakers bureau, applying a thoughtful perspective to speaker placement and key messaging to raise the profiles of the Firm's thought leaders . Develop high-impact communication briefings and written and multimedia communications to equip the executive team to deliver on goals and objectives with priority internal and external audiences. Craft impactful internal communications, including executive messages, business updates, success stories and organization announcements. Plan for and create a consistent and engaging internal communications content pipeline for employees, utilizing various channels such as internal events, intranet, email, video and blog posts. Up-level the communications materials review process and ensure all content is produced in compliance with global regulations in a manner most efficient to all stakeholders. Incorporate metrics, insights and data to inform audience targeting and optimization of communications approach. Collaborate within the Marketing Communications team to leverage the Firm's brand strategy and the collective team's expertise, tools and tactics. Stay current on industry trends and peer strategy and messaging. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. 12-15+ years of experience designing and executing proven communications programs. Strong experience / knowledge of techniques for driving reputation and brand and advancing messaging in the market. Skilled writer and editor with outstanding attention to detail. Strict control over quality to include accuracy of data and information, approval processes and stakeholder feedback management. Skilled project manager with the ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously; experience working in partnership with external agencies or resources to execute and drive project goals. Proven ability to synthesize complex topics and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; experience working in highly regulated environments is a plus. Adaptability and flexibility to situations and ever-changing demands and priorities. Resourceful problem solver, team player. Strong coaching skills, with a talent for managing and motivating high achievers. Preference for a history of working within the alternative investment industry in corporate communications or corporate marketing function. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
