Qorvo Oregon Design Center is looking for a Manager – RF Design
Job Summary:As Design Engineering Director you will lead a cross site/cross-functional team of filter, PA, switch and module designers to develop highly integrated modules for cellular applications. Communicate with customers to determine key specs, trade-off and product development direction. Balancing the needs of innovation and aggressive scheduling, you will play a major role in growing Qorvo’s business in this large and growing market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead team of module, RF switch, power amplifier, and/or filter designers.
Communicate with customers to develop customer product, lead technical discussions to determine trade-off and competitive advantage, and address any customer concerns.
Support integration of power amplifier, filters, switches and LNAs into multi-chip modules
Manage, train, and mentor a team of RF design engineers
Provide technical leadership in all phases of product development
Encourage both technical and professional development, improve design flows and processes
Work with key stakeholders on activities such as feasibility, roadmap and product definition
Documentation and presentation of results
Qualifications:
Experience in PA design, or SOI switch design, or SOI LNA design, or module design/integration, or SAW/BAW filter design is required
Experience in design team management is required
Experience with schematic design, RF simulation and EM simulation software is required.
Knowledge of RF standards such as LTE, GSM, and WCDMA is desired
Experience leading an RF product development team from concept to manufacturing
Proven track-record of having brought commercial RF products to market
Possess high-energy, attention to detail and high expectations for oneself and coworkers
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong listening and communication skills to work efficiently with the team and as part of multisite projects
BSEE with 10+ years of experience in component design and design team management
