Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.Job Description for Unit Marketing Director (UMD)Overview:The Unit Marketing Director (UMD) at Zaxby's is responsible for planning and executing sales-building activities to establish and nurture community relationships. As Zaxby's ambassador, the UMD's goal is to create an encore experience for customers both within the store and in the local community.

Key Responsibilities:Community Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with local community members, including schools and business associations.

Be an ambassador for Zaxby's, promoting goodwill through sampling, catering flyers, direct mailers, and menu distribution.

Plan and implement events with schools, churches, and businesses, ensuring a Zaxby’s presence at community events and spirit nights.

Ensure the Little Zac & Zuzy Zaxby’s mascots are regularly present in the community.

Attend monthly business association meetings.

In-Store Activities:

Manage EZ cater account and drivers at the location.

Ensure Encore Service is executed during peak times by being in-store, table-touching, and encouraging team members (minimum 2 times per week based on store needs).

Execute suggestive selling contests for team members and catering.

Handle donation and sponsorship requests with approval from the Area Marketing Director.

Digital Marketing:

Manage the store’s Facebook account according to the monthly calendar.

Logistics and Maintenance:

Be available for the delivery of caterings.

Maintain the store vehicle, ensuring it is hand-washed monthly and taken for maintenance checks and oil changes on a biannual basis (January 1st and July 1st).

Compensation:

Pay Type:

Hourly; $17 - $20 based on experience.

Weekly Schedule:

Hours:

An average of 25 hours per week, negotiable based on scheduling needs.

Availability:

The UMD should be available to address issues as they arise in a dynamic business environment.

Time Off:

10-day notice required for planned time off, submitted through Bamboo HR.

Benefits:

Paid Time Off:

7 days per year after 90 days of employment (equivalent to hours worked during your week), increasing to 10 days after 2 years.

Phone Reimbursement:

Provided.

Commission Opportunities:

Based on new catering sales.
