This is a remote position supporting the operations of our Washington, D.C. office. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a keen eye for detail used to ensure all deliverables conform to internal standards within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.Candidates will be asked to complete an assessment to evaluate these skills.Primary ResponsibilitiesEditing reports and other materials to ensure accuracy and consistency with TDI’s formatting and style guidelines – as well as accepted rules of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.Content editing reports and other materials for information consistency, accuracy, and logic.Developing, maintaining, and enforcing document templates, style guidelines, and other materials.Providing feedback to other team members during and after review.Process and store sensitive information, including PII, in accordance with Information Management System policies. Promptly report potential security incidents to the Information Technology team.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills and KnowledgeExceptional writing, editing, and fact-checking skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including table and document formatting.Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and ability to deliver and receive feedback.Familiarity with existing style guides, with strong preference for AP Style.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in journalism, literature, communications, linguistics, creative writing, or equivalent practical experience.Two (2) to five (5) years of professional, including internship, experience editing and reviewing content for grammatical correctness and consistency.Availability to work long and unpredictable hours, to include occasional weekends, ensure coverage on holidays, etc. This position typically aligns with our busiest hours, roughly from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.Desired ExperienceDemonstrated experience editing investigative due diligence reports is a plus.Working experience in journalism is a plus.Experience writing for publications is a plus.Core Working Hours: 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm (US Eastern Time).Expected Weekly Working Hours: Approximately 10 to 20 hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and emergencies.
