Our ideal teammate thrives in a fast-paced environment, believes that learning is a critical aspect of the user experience, and is a self-starter.About the TeamThe Content Operations and Strategy team solves complex UX Content problems through process alignment, improved tooling, and a holistic approach to strategy, which enables the seamless delivery of UX content to security professionals.You’ll work hand-in-hand with:UX Content, UX Design, and UX Research partners to align and craft content experiences that guide our customers to achieve their outcomes.UX Design Operations to help ensure the success of UX enhancements that are outside of the roadmap, but provide high customer value.Product Management and Go-To-Customer experts to identify and balance business goals, and end-to-end content experiences that expand product knowledge for our internal and external stakeholders.Research, Support, and Customer Success to understand customer challenges and how our customers actually use our content in the real world.Visual Design and UX Engineering to work within and contribute to our design system, and ensure necessary content elements and editorial guidelines are available to PM, UX, and engineering partners.About the RoleIn this role, you will:Align content processes and standards that help unlock user education experiences.Ensure enablement and application of Agile processes in UX to drive understanding of capacity and timing.Design engaging learning experiences, including in-product walkthroughs, help documentation, infographics, multimedia content (including videos), and more. It would be nice to have some web design development experience to bring new ideas and implement experiences.Help identify gaps in customer experiences across the content lifecycle, and ensure a consistent editorial tone across our product brand.Contribute to and help maintain the Style Guide, including helping define standards based on industry best-practices.Measure our product and documentation to ensure alignment with our content standards and efficacy of content.Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to encourage a content-as-a-priority approach, for example, partnering with our Design System to implement content standards.Be a positive, supportive, kind, and thoughtful member of our Rapid7 family.The skills you’ll bring include:Excellent written and oral communication skills.An obsession with grammar and writing rules.A research-driven approach to content design.The right mix of technical knowledge, writing skills, and analytical skills to deliver awesome content experiences.Knowledge of information architecture and how it relates to in-product and documentation experiences.Excellent graphic design and data visualization skills.A passion for technology and desire to learn about it.Experience working with GitHub, JIRA, Markdown, Pendo, Figma, or Miro.Experience working directly with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, experience design, and software development.The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.Strong project management skills.The ability to be a team player.The tenacity, humor, and people skills to work with and obtain information from a wide variety of team members.A desire to help others and lift teammates up.And finally, it’d also be extra nice if you have the following education and experience:BA/BS degree in Web Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Communications, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.3-4 years of relevant experience as a UX Content Designer.
