The Digital Media Buyer will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and will be responsible for planning, purchasing, and managing digital advertising space across various multimedia platforms.
The primary goal of the Digital Media Buyer is to optimize our Ad placements to reach target audiences effectively and achieve marketing objectives. Overall, the ideal Digital Media Buyer shall combine analytical skills with creativity to ensure that digital advertising efforts are strategic and effective.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy Development
Will work closely with executives and stakeholders to understand marketing goals and target audiences and then develop and implement a digital media buying strategy tailored to those goals.Develop and implement cutting-edge digital media strategies to capture affluent men and tech-savvy Gen Z women. Leverage data insights to create hyper-specific audience segments, ensuring the right message is delivered to the right audience across all digital channels.Review and absorb all the various buys, how they are segmented, their bidding strategies, and their roles in the overall Conversion funnel. Then, discern any possible new methods for targeting, bidding, and/or configurations that could improve efficiency or allow us to scale returns.Platform Selection
Choose the right digital platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.) and formats (e.g., display ads, video ads, sponsored content, etc.) that align with the campaign objectives.Identify other potential networks that may have high yield, then testing their value.High-Impact Campaign Management: Execute and optimize cross-platform media campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. Adjust strategies in real-time based on performance data, ensuring campaigns meet KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, CTR, and customer LTV.Budget Management
Understand how to view and update a daily Pacing Sheet to monitor our projected ad spend.Allocate and manage the advertising budget, ensuring that funds are used efficiently and effectively to maintain a positive ROI and maximize ROAS.Advanced Bidding & Budget Optimization: Manage ad budgets with precision, utilizing advanced bidding strategies to ensure maximum return on ad spend. Use both manual adjustments and automated tools to optimize ad placements and bid efficiency.Campaign Setup and Ad Account Management
Have an understanding of Tag Managers and how to create, configure, and set up new Conversion Actions that can be used to optimize a campaign's ad spend across various ad platforms.Demonstrate a reflex for catching and resolving Policy Actions against our ad accounts, and a firm comprehension of those policy nuances that come with the dating space.Set up and manage campaigns on various platforms, including keyword development, ad group and campaign setup, configuring targeting options, ad creatives, bidding strategies, execution details, and overall goal achievement.Create and ideate marketing funnels for Audience curation and population. Then leverage those various levels to maximize Conversion.Ensure all digital marketing efforts reflect the brand's premium positioning, maintaining exclusivity and appeal to affluent users. Develop narratives that entice and engage a highly selective user base, increasing both acquisition and retention.Monitoring and Optimization
Identify and configure conversion events, and implement current methods accurately track traffic and conversions derived from all media buys to optimize spend.Continuously monitor campaign performance using analytics tools, making data-driven adjustments to improve results. This might involve tweaking ad copy, adjusting targeting parameters, or reallocating budget.Additionally, construct and run A/B tests and provide written analysis and conclusions on the effectiveness of our campaigns, and any actions taken to improve performance.Reporting and Presentation
Monitor and evaluate search performance metrics, and generate regular reporting for executives and stakeholders on all major metrics, goals tracking, and other paid search KPIs.Deliver and present weekly insightful reports and recommendations on budget, strategy, and tactics to senior management relating to those goals.Analyze campaign performance using advanced tools (Google Analytics, platform-native dashboards, and custom reporting solutions). Provide actionable insights to senior leadership and adapt strategies based on data trends and user behavior patterns.Negotiation and Relationships
Maintain good relationships with our Ad Network and Platform representatives, and leveraging their insights as needed.Negotiate rates and terms of digital buys with media vendors, ensuring we get the most favorable terms and placements.Navigate policy issues as they arise in a timely manner, and bring them to resolution.Market Research
Stay updated on industry trends, audience behavior, and new advertising technologies to keep campaigns competitive and innovative.Stay ahead of digital marketing trends that appeal to both Gen Z women and high-net-worth men, including emerging platforms and content formats. Test new digital channels and creatives to keep the brand relevant and appealing to key demographic groups.Learn and retain an understanding of who our users are and how much they cost to acquire. Be able to use this knowledge when sizing up a new piece of information or a technology that we can leverage.Teamwork and Communication
Work with our Creative and Product teams to develop content for placements. Ensure adherence to brand standards.Participate in collaborations with the rest of the Marketing team to formulate and execute on digital acquisition strategies.Collaborate with our Product and Development teams to facilitate the troubleshooting and integration of tracking capabilities, as needed.Work with creative teams to craft compelling ad creatives that resonate with high-net-worth individuals and Gen Z audiences. Use A/B testing to identify the most effective messaging and visuals that drive both conversions and brand affinity.Can work in a ticketing system (Jira) to accomplish goals, and is proficient writing Creative Briefs into a ticket to develop new assets, including but not limited to: videos, display, landing pages, etc..Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills over Slack, email and Google Meets.Work and collaborate effectively with our agency Partners to augment our media buying efforts.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience buying digital media on the Advertiser and/or Agency side. Specifically for premium subscription-based digital products, particularly luxury brands or services that cater to high-net-worth clients and Gen Z. Deep knowledge and hands-on experience managing digital media buys across multiple platforms, including Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and programmatic ad buying-demonstrated ability to drive results with high-budget, high-impact campaigns.Proven ability to craft and adjust campaigns that resonate with both affluent men and Gen Z women demographics.Exceptional skills in interpreting data and using analytics tools to drive strategic decisions.
