B.L. Harbert International is seeking a Marketing Assistant for the International Group located in Birmingham, Alabama. The Marketing Assistant's primary role is internal communications and content development for the company website and intranet. The Marketing Assistant is also responsible for the development of marketing materials including presentations, brochures and other business development materials. Candidate will frequently collaborate with the Marketing Team and International Group Leadership.
Responsibilities:
Creating, developing and managing market-related content on company website and intranetAssisting with coordination and production of presentations, awards submittals and marketing materials for tradeshowsMaintaining marketing materials including project sheets, resumes, project lists and related collateralCoordinating and promoting special initiatives and philanthropic eventsCoordinating and supporting corporate events, milestones and newsKeeping abreast of industry trendsCoordinating division-related press/project news with Marketing TeamAssisting in event planning and executingAssisting in corporate initiativesAdditional duties as assignedRequirements:
Bachelor's Degree is Marketing, Communications or Public Relations2+ years of related experienceProficiency in Adobe Creative SuiteExperience in video creating and editingAbility to manage multiple projectsThorough understanding of construction and design terminologyCapability to problem solve independentlyPreferred:
Strong technical writing skills with an eye for graphicsPrevious A/E/C experiencePhysical Demands:
To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:
Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overheadHave the ability to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch and crawlHave the ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 25 lbs. of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.Have the ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing requiredPossess the manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skillsPossess a high degree of concentration necessary in a busy office environmentWork Environment:
