Job Overview:

Search Solution Group is seeking a dynamic VP of Marketing & Merchandising for our client, a leading designer and manufacturer of leather goods in Lynchburg, VA. This role is crucial for developing and executing integrated strategies aimed at growing revenue, enhancing brand visibility, and aligning product development with market trends. The VP will oversee both marketing and merchandising efforts, ensuring brand consistency and maximizing consumer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement integrated marketing and merchandising strategies to grow revenue and maximize brand exposure.Lead and mentor marketing and merchandising teams, providing clear direction and support to achieve departmental and company goals.Collaborate with senior leadership and sales divisions to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and merchandising activities that drive revenue.Oversee brand consistency across all channels and manage the execution of brand strategies in marketing and merchandising efforts.Manage IT resources related to marketing and merchandising, ensuring smooth integration of technology into campaigns.Identify and forecast color trends and style directions to influence product offerings and shape marketing campaigns.Lead product selection and planning efforts to drive consumer engagement and enhance brand visibility.Conduct market research and analyze sales data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies for optimal results.Manage budgets for marketing and merchandising, ensuring resource allocation aligns with financial targets.Negotiate and manage relationships with external partners such as advertising agencies, PR firms, and consultants to support brand growth and marketing efforts.Requirements:Education:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, or a related field. MBA preferred.Experience:

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing and merchandising, preferably within a consumer goods industry.Skills:

Proven ability to lead marketing and merchandising teams.Strong analytical skills and experience using sales data to shape strategy.Expertise in branding, product development, and consumer engagement.Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in marketing or merchandising would be a plus.Knowledge:
