Position Summary :As the Sales and Marketing Director, you will lead our efforts in promoting innovative secondary containment & waterproofing solutions, specifically polyurea coatings and linings, within a diverse market base including oil & gas, commercial and industrial sectors. You will spearhead the development and execution of sales strategies across direct channels and lead a high-energy, innovative team and drive profitability and growth through strategic market expansion and new product development. This role demands a strategic thinker with proven execution skills, a strong entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive innovation and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
Key Roles / Responsibilities :
Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies for direct channels, emphasizing secondary containment & waterproofing solutions, particularly polyurea coatings and linings, in the oil & gas, commercial and industrial sectors; Identify and pursue new business opportunities while optimizing current sales operations.Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of outside sales representatives and estimators. Foster a culture of high performance and innovation, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets.Develop and execute marketing campaigns and product strategies to accelerate growth; participate in new product development to ensure alignment with market needs and company objectives.Target and capture new business, with a strategic focus on waterproofing solutions, expanding beyond the oil and gas industry; plan and execute initiatives to expand into non-Oil & Gas markets and explore international opportunities.Strengthen relationships with existing clients and lead client meetings and presentations to support the sales team. Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) with clients, ensuring favorable outcomes.Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth across multiple channels.Ensure high-quality after-sales support, addressing customer needs and resolving issues to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.Forecast sales projections, track performance, and achieve outcomes in a timely manner. Utilize SharePoint and PowerBI to manage and analyze data for informed decision-making.Monitor competitors' products, services, and pricing strategies. Implement measures to enhance competitive advantage and surpass competitors' offerings.Train and develop the sales and marketing team, including new product and service training, ensuring they are equipped to excel in their roles.Manage and update customer databases, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.Leverage the company's deep knowledge of polyurea coatings and linings, focusing on their applications for waterproofing, corrosion protection, and secondary containment solutions.Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required.10-15 years of B2B product sales experience, with a strong preference for coatings and linings experience, particularly in polyurea.Oil & Gas experience preferred.Strong background in construction and project estimation preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and proven attention to detail.Must be able to work effectively with managers, including upper management and field personnel.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changes quickly.Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with SharePoint and PowerBI preferred.Ability to travel up to 40%, including domestic and potentially international travel, to support market development and client engagements.Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.Moves throughout the building to access files.Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.Benefits:
