System Director of Marketing and Communication
you will lead innovative marketing strategies and programs that amplify our brand in support of our hospitals, centers of excellence, clinics and departments at both the enterprise and local levels while contributing to an optimized patient experience. Reporting directly to the System Vice President, Chief Growth Officer, you will drive innovation in marketing strategies, internal and external communication and oversee their execution to support organizational goals.
Principal Duties:Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Deaconess' culture, goals, and objectives through stakeholder engagement.Lead and empower the Marketing and Communication team, conducting comprehensive analyses to enhance team effectiveness and client-focused service delivery.Drive core marketing functions including D2C strategies, advertising, and digital/social media efforts to amplify brand visibility and foster positive community relationships.Evolve the Deaconess brand identity across entities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maintaining brand standards.Collaborate closely with enterprise, regional, and departmental leaders to align marketing strategies with business objectives and drive growth initiatives.Utilize market research and analytics to inform strategic marketing plans and develop performance-driven campaigns that support service line goals.Leverage both internal and external communications efforts in support of Deaconess' brand visibility, thought leadership, and reputation management, as well as employee communications, medical staff communication, executive communications, and other internal communications efforts.Lead consumer insights initiatives to identify market opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.Oversee the development of a robust digital engagement strategy and platform, ensuring best-in-class patient experiences.Lead the implementation of the community health needs assessment for all markets, lead community sponsorships, donations and grants process and serves as the public relations officer for the health system.Manage media relations, community sponsorships, and public relations activities to enhance brand visibility and reputation.Foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability within the Marketing and Communication team.Personal and Professional Profile:
Minimum of ten years' experience as a marketing executive. Preferably in healthcare environments.Master's degree in marketing, business, journalism, communications, or related field.Proven success in developing and implementing business-building marketing strategies, ideally in complex health systems.Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading change management initiatives and building high-performing teams.Expertise in digital and brand marketing, CRM tools, and data-driven decision-making.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders.Knowledge of healthcare marketing principles, market research, and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated fiscal responsibility and budget management skills.Benefits:We pride ourselves in retaining our top talent by offering work environments that support professional development and personal success.
