Main Accountabilities:

Strategy Development & Implementation:

Develop, implement, and manage innovative marketing strategies and programs that build market share and increase customer retention, with a focus on market segments such as small businesses and farmers.

Create an annual marketing plan, calendar, and budget, ensuring all marketing efforts are cost-effective and aligned with the bank’s objectives.

Work closely with marketing and advertising vendors to negotiate contracts that optimize the bank’s marketing expenditure.

Digital Presence & Content Management:

Oversee the development and management of the bank’s website to ensure it functions as an effective revenue channel for products and services.

Create engaging and visually compelling content for the bank’s website, digital ads, and print materials, highlighting products, services, and innovations.

Contribute to social media growth strategies, ensuring a consistent brand voice and expanding the bank’s digital presence.

Use Google Analytics to understand website trends, track organic ranking, and performance of digital ads.

Public Relations & Community Engagement:

Oversee the bank’s community relations programs, actively engaging with community events and civic organizations to enhance the bank’s visibility and impact.

Marketing Research & Analysis:

Lead marketing research initiatives to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, customer engagement, and return on investment (ROI).

Stay up-to-date on competitive analysis, customer behavior trends, and emerging industry trends to inform marketing strategies.

Work with internal resources to develop dashboards and data analysis as appropriate and share performance reports with the management team.

Brand Identity & Visual Management:

Maintain and evolve the bank’s brand identity, ensuring consistency both internally and externally across branch merchandising, signage, printed material, web, employee communication, and sales & marketing assets.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that all products and services are marketed effectively, maintaining brand alignment across all customer touchpoints and using traditional and non-traditional tactics for B2C and B2B audiences.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of marketing department staff.

Foster a positive and creative working environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

Sales Culture & Customer Engagement:

Create B2B marketing plan for full-funnel marketing from awareness to engagement to purchase cycle among small business & ag community.

Support the bank’s sales goals through acquisition campaigns that drive leads and work closely with sales teams for feedback to continually optimize conversion.

Use customer relationship management (CRM) tools to understand and enhance customer engagement and grow the customer base.

Work with internal customer-facing teams to enhance customer satisfaction and NPS scores.

Cross-Channel Management:

Oversee all marketing channels, including digital, website, print, and radio, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall marketing objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:

Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer or executive management team.

Digital Marketing Savvy: Experience using Google Analytics and visualization tools (Looker) to analyze web trends and marketing performance; experience managing organic and paid digital media; understanding of tagging (UTM) and tracking for performance marketing efforts.

Customer Focused: Strong understanding of community banking and/or multi-unit retail/hospitality, customer needs, and how to build lasting relationships.

Analytical: Ability to assess market trends, customer data, and campaign performance to refine strategies and improve ROI.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate the bank’s values and engage different audiences.

Community Oriented: A passion for local involvement and the ability to build meaningful partnerships with community organizations.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in marketing, with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the banking or financial services industry, preferably community banking.

Digital Expertise: Strong knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and paid advertising campaigns.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, social media management, and customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Budget Management: Experience in managing marketing budgets and ensuring cost-effective campaigns.

Project Management: Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns from concept to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Education: MBA or a Master’s degree in Marketing or a related field.

Community Banking Experience: Prior experience in marketing within the community banking sector is highly desirable.

Local Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the local community, market dynamics, and customer preferences.

Public Relations Expertise: Experience managing media relations and corporate communications.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally lift and/or move items over 10 pounds.

Remain sedentary (seated) for extended periods of time.

Working Environment:

Work is performed in a professional office environment.

This role uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Travel:

Limited travel expected.
