Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Designer to join our Water Business Group team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a technical interest in water and wastewater treatment and pump stations and pipelines. The EIT/Designer will be responsible for assisting with projects through planning, design, and construction phases. Project types could include water and wastewater treatment facilities, gravity sanitary sewers and force mains, water distribution and transmission pipelines, water and wastewater pump stations and related infrastructure projects.The candidate will support and advise engineers and technical staff in other disciplines and sections, complete technical analysis, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with sub-consultants, support senior staff to maintain project schedules and budgets, and produce documents in accordance with project scopes and quality program procedures. The candidate may have periodic contact with clients regarding ongoing projects and tasks. This position may require occasional field visits for construction observation.In the role of Water/Wastewater Designer, we'll count on you to:Support detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project EngineerPrepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the ownerConduct quality control reviews of completed designsPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications

Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent fieldInterest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilitiesAutoCAD and/or MicroStation experienceMust be able to work in a team environmentAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
