As such, each staff member is a part of the ministry by teaching the Bible, praying for and with others, and carrying out the vision of Awaken Las Vegas. The Creative and Communications Director works in conjunction with the leadership team and ministry leaders with the overall goal of development of events plans, communication rollouts, and a master communication plan as it relates to initiatives and event calendars.

The Creative and Communications Director at Awaken Las Vegas will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the creative and communicative vision of our church. You will be responsible for creating, organizing, planning, implementing, and measuring effective communications, media messages, and strategies for the church body, community audiences, and staff. The work involves delivering compelling content and experiences that connect with our congregation while simultaneously developing communication strategy for the church and each of its ministries to clearly convey the vision of the church to the body and the public at large.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership:

Oversees a team consisting of an Assistant Creative Director, Media Management Team, Graphic Artist, and Social Media Coordinator.

Collaboration:

Works closely with the Lead Pastor and Worship Director to design and execute highly creative Sunday morning services.

Creative Direction:

Develops and implements creative strategies for church services, events, and communications.

Communications Management:

Manages all internal and external communications, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across all platforms.

Media Production:

Oversees the production of multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and social media posts.

Branding:

Maintains and enhances the church's brand identity through various creative and communication channels.

Team Development:

Mentors and develops the creative team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Volunteer Recruitment and Development:

Recruits and develops a volunteer team of creatives and communication experts to support various projects and initiatives.

Direct Collaboration:

Works directly for and in close conjunction with the Lead Pastor to ensure alignment with the church's vision and goals.

Reporting:

Reports directly to the Lead Pastor.

Website Oversight:

Oversees the creative and communication aspects of the church's website, ensuring it aligns with the church's vision and effectively engages the congregation and community.

Social Media and SEO Role:

Social Media Management:

Ensures that all social media platforms are utilized effectively to engage with the congregation and the wider community.

SEO Optimization:

Implements strategies to maximize the church's visibility on search engines, ensuring that content is easily discoverable.

Content Strategy:

Develops and executes a content strategy that aligns with the church's mission and goals, leveraging social media and SEO best practices.

Analytics:

Monitors and analyzes the performance of social media and SEO efforts, making data-driven decisions to improve impact.

Engagement:

Engages with the online community, responding to comments and messages to foster a sense of connection and community.

Skills and Qualifications:

Creative Vision:

Strong ability to conceptualize and execute creative ideas that enhance the worship experience.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and effectively.

Leadership:

Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a creative team.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficient in multimedia production tools and software.

Collaboration:

Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and team members.

Project Management:

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

5 years minimum of demonstrated professional work experience in Communications, Marketing, Creative Leadership, or related field preferably in a church or ministry setting.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Design, Fine Arts) or equivalent experience preferred.

Strong artistic and creative skills with proficiency in graphic design, production, and multimedia content creation.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Proficiency with creative software tools and technology.

Strong and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate experience in managing people and projects with high-quality relational outcomes.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
