What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a passionate and well-rounded Designer III / Job Captain with 8+ years of postgraduate experience and a degree in architecture. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects focused on reusing, rehabilitating, and modernizing existing structures.
In this position, you will be involved in all aspects of the project, including conducting field surveys, overseeing and coordinating design development activities, developing and detailing construction documents, and participating in construction administration activities.
As part of our collaborative office culture, you will work closely with principals, project managers, designers, consultants, clients, and other team members through regular meetings and one-on-one discussions.
Key Qualifications include:A professional degree in Architecture or a related field.8 plus years of experience in a similar role.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.Ability to produce and coordinate a set of detailed construction documents.Strong design, visualization, and presentation skills.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new skills and technologies.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and experience supporting projects from design development to construction administration.Ability to travel via car and/or airplane throughout the United States for varying durations, from one day to two weeks.Where Will You WorkThis position is based in San Diego, with the initial expectation of in-person work. As you grow into the role, there will be opportunities for increased workplace flexibility. The position requires some travel throughout the United States.
