Services Needed:
Work with the Directing Team, Production Stage Management, and the local Stage Management team during allotted off-train rehearsal sessions for The Polar Express Train Ride.
The Music Director is responsible for teaching the cast the music in the show according to specifications that uphold the artistic integrity of the production.
Contract Expectations:
Meet with the directing team to learn the expectations of each piece of music. This will be a 15-20 minute virtual meeting before rehearsals begin. The sheet music will be provided ahead of time.
Rehearsals are in person. Teach the cast the music. Refine cast vocal performance during the allotted 3-hour rehearsal block according to the musicality discussed with the Directing Team and the schedule provided by Stage Management.
Maintain a safe, welcoming, positive, and inclusive working environment.
Provide a keyboard piano to rehearsal (OKC and NOLA only).
Requirements:
Advanced music comprehension
Experience teaching vocal performance technique
Plays piano
