Grant Writing and Environmental Education Programming Fellow

CALLING ALL WRITERS AND EDUCATORS! Join a cohort of 10 AmeriCorps fellows to identify new funding sources, write grants, develop budgets, record grants, assist in fundraisers, participate in lessons, field trips, and work with CPS students. We are looking for talented writers with math skills to develop budgets. Experience in education, summer camps, or outdoor education is a plus! This role offers a chance to combine your grant writing and programming skills to directly contribute to GGO's mission. Help secure funding through grant writing while also participating in and supporting GGO's fundraising efforts. Member Responsibilities: - Write and edit grant proposals, focusing on scientific, educational, and community partnership projects. - Contribute to fundraising activities. - Assist with scientific research and grant writing. - Mentor Chicago Public School Students - Plan engaging environmental and outdoor education lesson plans - Work additional program and fundraising activities as needed to support GGO's goals. - Attend field trips including camping when needed - Attend in classroom programming when needed Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
