Are you ready for what's next?This Team Is Part Of Utility Computing (UC) AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.Key job responsibilities You'll own the customer experience for small to large features within the AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) org. As a Senior UX designer for AWS DMS, you'll drive cross-functional collaboration, engage our internal and external users, and design best of breed experiences for thousands of users across the world. You'll think big and drive innovation, finding opportunities to mold the future of DMS and AWS Database services, as well as provide mentorship and guidance for other designers on the team.A day in the life Working closely with your cross-functional partners and fellow Databases UX team members, you will design for high visibility projects that have high complexity problems. You'll build new features 0 - 1 and lead conversations on behalf of our customers. You'll plan and conduct design thinking workshops that bring together partners and stakeholders from across DMS as well as Databases UX.Basic Qualifications

6+ years of design experienceHave an available online portfolioKnowledge of usability principles and techniquesPreferred Qualifications

Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processesExperience with UX design of complex workflowsExperience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey mapsExperience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexityExperience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in natureExperience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standardsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
