The purpose of this role is to increase the amount of design work the creative team is responsible for producing, extending to advertising, event creative, and internal documentation such as the academic catalog and enrollment packet and other internal and external documentation. The expected result is an improvement in both the design process and speed in which projects are scoped and completed.

Collaborate with team members to determine design brief requirements.Prepare rough drafts and present design ideas.Develop, design, and produce graphic art which satisfies a creative brief.Collaborate with other departments.Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.Practice asset management, which includes archiving, dating, and labeling both work and photo libraries.Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Helping lift creative materials and/or setting up creative collateral around campus such as posters or printouts.Operating camera equipment on shoots and productions.Other Responsibilities As assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities Jr. Graphic DesignerQualifications

Knowledge of typography, color, and production.Ability to multi-task and prioritize a heavy workload with tight deadlines.Able to work independently and complete tasks on time and desired quality with minimal supervision.Able to report to work on time, as specified by a supervisor (including remote work conditions).Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Willingness to quickly adapt.Tact when working with colleagues and outside vendors.Ability to use a camera for stills and video heavily preferred.Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.4-5 years of experience as a graphic designer or related position.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None required.Computer Skills

Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.Knowledge of PowerPoint, Keynote, and presentation design.Proficiency in the standard Microsoft 365 suite.Willingness and ability to learn new software programs as introduced to the market.Work/Environmental Factors

This job operates in a professional office environment when working on-site.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to maintain active stakeholder communication; access, input, and retrieve information from the computer system.May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.Physical Demands

Will need to be able to operate a computer effectively.The visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform activities such as designing assignments as requested, preparing, and inspecting work.Emotional and Mental Demands
