Position Description

In this role, you will:
- Develop guides, lesson strategies, and assessments
- Create interactive on-line lessons, video scripts, and support materials
- Work under the supervision of the project manager or lead instructional designer to develop and document instructor-led, paper-based, and on-line curricula or performance support solutions
- Consult with clients to identify new requirements and strategies
- Work with a team of instructional designers, media specialists, programmers, quality control specialists, subject matter experts, and project and program managers to design and create new training
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the ADDIE models and instructional design processes
- Participate in and guide visual design, prototyping, usability testing, and evaluation and foster design innovation
- Review products throughout analysis, design, and development to ensure sensible course flow and compliance with style guidelines and standards
- Design and develop SCORM conferment and 508-compliant eLearning course-ware and training materials
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 5+ years of experience years of experience in eLearning design, eLearning development, and adult learning theory
- Prior experience in US Navy or other US Military branch is required (as a service member and/or as an Instructional Designer)
- Working knowledge of one or more development tools (e.g., Lectora, Captivate, Storyline)
- Broad knowledge in the field of human-computer interaction and performance-centered design
- Ability to present complex information clearly to a disbursed on-line audience.
- Demonstrated utilization of the ADDIE model
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, and client interaction skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, quality assurance, and editing skills
- The ability to prioritize and make good decisions with minimal supervision
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office/Office 365 productivity tools
- Ability to travel 10%
