Associate Product Manager-Video - Minneapolis, MN

This is a hybrid position working 3 days per week in office with the option to work-from-home 2 days per week.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Associate Product Manager - Video role is responsible for supporting the development and management of our video programming and video product, delivering best-in-class video offerings and user experiences. The successful employee is one who has an aptitude for detail and a tolerance for ambiguity, can collaborate across teams, and makes the complicated seem simple. KEY FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Thinking & Analysis:

  • Identify, report on, and assume accountability for the attainment of key initiatives.
  • Become the point person and subject matter expert for programming and video products; produce required documentation so that there is a single source of truth for our offerings.
  • Create subscriber and expense analyses related to budgeting and financial opportunities.
  • Assist in defining and communicating strategy for video programming and product, including pricing, promotions, and customer messaging, in alignment with company goals and market opportunities.


Product Excellence:

  • Identify product and packaging opportunities that build the customer value proposition and enthusiasm for video products.
  • Provide day-to-day management of business needs and requirements, overseeing subscriber submissions and invoicing and ensuring executional excellence. Partner with Data Engineering and Financial Analysts to ensure data accuracy.
  • Create and manage channel change processes, system launches and new lineups while maintaining contract compliance and system integrity.
  • Own compliance with federal regulations.


Cross-Functional Leader:

  • Partner with Engineering on delivering products and channels to our customers.
  • Partner with Marketing on sales and marketing materials as well as regulated notifications.
  • Work with Legal on contract maintenance and to resolve questions on carriage or risk.
  • Support/drive internal communications explaining new launches, interesting issues, and routine notifications -- articulating concepts in ways that team members (and customers) can understand.
  • Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco's Core Values and Leadership Success Drivers.
  • Be available to provide assistance to team members outside of normal business hours as necessary


Customer Insight:

  • Understand and represent the voice of the customer in both programming and product development.
  • Remain current on changes in technology and share information with team members.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Finance and/or equivalent experience required. Master' preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous product management, product marketing or experience related to cable television/video products or similar experience is required.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
  • Strong people and relationship management skills required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
