We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Manager, Media Accounts. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Media Sales Account Management team, managing client relationships, understanding client needs, collaborating with editorial, marketing departments, and research teams to ensure the successful execution of media sales strategies.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the Media Sales Account Manager(s) and Sales Coordinator to drive individual and team success
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Account Management team
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with media clients by understanding their business objectives, metrics of success, and managing campaign workback schedules
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise clients, specifically for large campaigns and white label custom research
  • Regularly assess client satisfaction and proactively solve any concerns or issues
  • Identify strategic growth opportunities within the business to strengthen client relations, cross departmental relationships, campaigns, and tech stack
  • Act as the main point of contact between Media Sales and Editorial to ensure alignment and that client needs are met
  • Collaborate with Marketing to facilitate sponsorship of the client-facing events including client golf outings, webinars, and International Women's Day events
  • Partner with Data Operations and Product to provide insights and reporting of newsletter subscribers, impressions, and clicks
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and Account Management within media industry, including digital platforms, print, and emerging trends preferred
  • 2+ years of management experience with demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Salesforce
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation
  • Annual base salary: $111,840-$141,250
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 10%


*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 4+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
