Role
The Communications team is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Internal Communications. Reporting to the VP, Communications and working closely with each department, you'll drive awareness of important business details and decisions, highlight the work of teams and individuals to the company, and gather regular feedback to track progress against our goals. As our Head of Internal Communications, you should have 8+ years of communications experience, plus:
For US-based applicants:$170,000/year to $230,000/year + benefits + stock options
The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity in the form of stock options.

Role
The Communications team is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Internal Communications. Reporting to the VP, Communications and working closely with each department, you'll drive awareness of important business details and decisions, highlight the work of teams and individuals to the company, and gather regular feedback to track progress against our goals. - Build and scale our strategy: Proactively build and execute our internal communications strategy globally for Whatnot. Help create programs and develop new ways to engage with and inspire our employees.
- Maintain a best-in-class culture: Whatnot is a special place. In this role you'll build programs that ensure that as we scale, our unique and intentional culture scales with us.
- Trusted partner: Work closely with leaders and teams to help bring our internal communications strategy to life, guaranteeing we prioritize open communication that motivates our employees to do their best work.
- Channel strategy: Oversee an audit of different internal communications channels and develop new ways of delivering important news and changes that ensures employees are informed. Track, analyze, and report on impact, effectiveness, and responses to internal communications messaging.

As our Head of Internal Communications, you should have 8+ years of communications experience, plus:
- Experience in-house + with internal communications at a high-growth startup, marketplace or creator-focused platform
- Proven track record of building successful internal communications programs
- You understand the importance of thoughtfully developing narratives that help people understand key topics, no matter how nuanced or complicated.
- You're passionate about internal communications but excited about jumping into different communications projects as they come up.
- Demonstrated experience counseling executive leadership on internal communications impact and strategy
- Experience forging relationships and working cross functionally with internal functions such as People, Marketing, etc.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience developing key messages and content across channels
- You're data driven, with demonstrated experience building and developing a strategy for measuring internal communications effectiveness
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- A strong understanding of the tech and/or ecommerce landscape
