The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and master's level courses, support and expand curricular development in industrial engineering, pursue research in one's area of expertise, and provide service to the department, the university, and the community. We are particularly seeking candidates with teaching and research interests in the design, modeling, and analysis of production systems for manufactured goods and/or digital products, including but not limited to areas such as: information systems for operations such as manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise/materials resource planning (ERP/MRP); smart manufacturing systems and data informatics; simulation and digital twins; production, inventory, and facilities planning; and expanding productive capacity for sustainable development.Salary will be commensurate with education and experience of the individual selected. Qualified candidates with industry experience are encouraged to apply. Anticipated hiring range: $106,000 - $118,000 per year.An earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in industrial engineering, systems engineering, computer/data science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution or international equivalent is required for appointment. Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) will be considered but must provide proof that the doctorate was awarded prior to or by the start of the appointment.Candidates must have a strong commitment to inclusive teaching excellence and laboratory-based instruction as well as broad-based knowledge of industrial or manufacturing engineering. Demonstrated ability in written and oral use of the English language is required.The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with students, staff and faculty from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The ideal candidate will show evidence of attention to and/or the potential to contribute on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion across their teaching, scholarship, and service.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreference will be given to those who can show evidence of working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.Candidates with relevant industry experience and/or professional certifications are encouraged to apply.
