Analytics and insights are essential for the planning and accountability of a large team and go-to-market activities. Cisco is seeking to hire two Directors of Market Strategy & Planning to join our Security Product Marketing team. In these senior roles, you will be responsible for developing strategies to optimize targeting and performance for marketing activities by combining quantitative analysis with qualitative input from collaborators and customers. These roles will focus on key products in the Cisco Security Cloud and will require close collaboration with other partners inside and outside of marketing. Your deep expertise in go-to-market strategy and cybersecurity will be critical in guiding the direction of our marketing initiatives, enabling us to more efficiently drive security business growth.What You’ll Do

  • Analyze marketing performance: combine data and qualitative feedback to identify what’s working, what’s not, and areas of opportunity in generating and supporting pipeline to close.
  • Drive strategic planning: use insights to help align targeting and content strategies to most efficiently deliver against pipeline and bookings targets supporting business growth.
  • Closed-loop customer insights: bring insights from customer win-loss analysis to drive improvements in messaging and targeting.
  • Cross-functional alignment: drive the alignment across security marketing, across BUs, and across the GTM function to deliver One Cisco outcomes.

Who You Are: You possess a deep understanding of customer and marketing analytics theories, principles, and concepts, and will be passionate about data-driven marketing with a focus on making a measurable impact on revenue. You are capable of delivering results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and effectively collaborate with a distributed team. A strong sense of ownership, a natural inclination to over-deliver, and a hunger to seek out new opportunities are important traits. Proficiency in Salesforce.com and sophisticated Excel and data analysis skills are required. You have experience collating data from disparate sources to craft compelling and change-generating insights, with a proven understanding of B2B SaaS marketing, demand generation, attribution, and sales models. Experience with annual planning for marketing and sales functions is vital, and exposure to programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, SPSS, and SAS is a plus. Incumbent is confident working with big, complex data sets and has the ability to simplify sophisticated information and translate data into “plain English.” You are a tenacious problem solver who functions well in ambiguity, and possesses strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and good business acuity. Your knowledge of data visualization theory and standard processes, including selecting the appropriate visualization types for the information being conveyed is one of the keys to your success story.Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Marketing, Engineering or equivalent combination of skills / experience
  • 5+ years go-to-market strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years in cybersecurity
  • Preferred management consulting or relevant experience in B2B product marketing
