If so, the Amazon supply chain team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to create and execute the worldwide supply chain by working closely with our retail and operations partners across the globe in order to effectively manage volume flows and fullness for our fulfillment centers and delivery stations.
Amazon obsesses over customers by offering a white glove service where we deliver TVs and other items such as furniture to customers’ homes. AMXL was launched in September of 2018 to support Amazon’s expansion into the >$600B Heavy/Bulky product market share segment. The NA AMXL Supply Chain Execution team (SCE) plays the leading role in the growth and profitability of our network. We are responsible for calibrating our capacity to expected demand, overseeing the health of our end-to-end supply chain, and making structural changes to our network (inbound and outbound connectivity, critical pull times (CPTs), new ship methods, use of 3P carriers, availability of delivery slots, Delivery Service Provider (DSP) and associate hiring, etc.) to meet our cost, growth, and quality goals. Over the last five years, AMXL has become arguably the best Heavy Bulky fulfillment and delivery provider in the world with in terms of Delivery Estimate Accuracy, costs, and fewer customer contacts. Our NA network is currently supporting over $9B in gross merchandise sales (GMS), with expectations of double-digit % growth over the next three years.
Key job responsibilities
The Inventory Health team is responsible for driving Inventory Health strategy for the AMXL network involving critical decision making to optimize the network for cube versus demand. The role will require managing inventory placement logic to influence Inventory, Health, Forecasting and Buying Signals, and Retail Engagement to close the gap between Optimal Inventory Health (OIH) and excess network cube. This will incorporate influencing senior leadership opinion on OIH, buying strategy and, OIH, and tying forecast signals to inventory buying.
Managing multiple initiatives and projects
Writing strategy documents that clearly communicate supply chain vision to senior leadership
Working with Retail, Finance and Operations partners towards defining supply chain and - operating models
Forming cross-functional project teams, planning, organizing, managing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders
Deep diving complex models and analyzing trade off decisions to ensure the best outcome for our customers
Formulating and owning inventory strategy programs and presenting to senior leadership
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
5+ years of supply chain experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
