Overview:
The AV field engineer is responsible for successfully configuring, deploying, and completing all commissioning tasks required for acceptance walkthrough, training, and signoff of the AV system. This position requires advanced trouble shooting skills and a solid understanding of audio-visual system operation and design. A professional approach and communication skills are required for success.The role can require up to 30% travel out of state.Responsibilities:Design ReviewWorks with design team to ensure systems will work as designed.Attend design and scope review meetings to provide feedbackCoordinate with project teammates on quality assurance documentationCoordinate with project teammates on network documentationGenerate and review request for information (RFIs)In-House Quality AssurancePlan, organize and set up a full system mock-upTest full system functionalityDocumenting redlines and quality assurance paperworkField CommissioningPerform site inspection for installation qualityRun through system operation and trouble shoot issuesWork with project foreman to address any installation issues during commissioningCoordinate with AV programmer on updates or revisions neededCommunicate with project manager on outstanding issues, punch list items and client needsSystem Walkthrough and AcceptanceComplete commissioning checklist paperworkWalk through systems with end user and/or consultantsDocument and address punch list itemsTraining and CloseoutPerform on-site end user training for all systemsProvide technical training for end user technical teamReview all close out documentation including as-built drawings and user guidesAssist project management team with presenting and obtaining project signoffTeamwork and LeadershipTeamwork and collaboration-based approachAccountability and ownership of responsibilitiesClear communicationSelf-motivated and always looking to growOther duties as assignedQualifications:Experience & EducationHS Degree requiredTechnical School Certification or Community College (preferred)Years of Experience: 5+ years of AV installation, commissioning, and service
