Senior FF&E Designer
Seeking candidates with an innate sense of style. Love of texture, light, and color. Skilled understanding of scale and proportion. Working knowledge of high-end sources for furnishings and finishes.
Job Description:
As Senior Interior Designer with an FF&E focus, you will drive the materials and furnishings side of BAMO's interior spaces. Working alongside the Design Leads you will research and explore, setting the mood and directing the design vocabulary through color, materiality, lighting and furniture. To take a project from concept to completion, you will draw on your expertise in space planning, presentation development, and custom furniture drawings and specifications. You will hone your leadership experience through client interactions and mentorship of junior team members. You will grow your craft alongside the firm's Principals and Associates while working on a variety of projects.
What you can expect in a Senior FF&E Designer Role at BAMO: Assist in the development of project goals, targets and schedules Generate concept, schematic, design development, interior finishes and final FF&E design based on project criteria, program, and budget Develop FF&E and interior finish specifications Develop and generate custom FF&E designs Extensive working knowledge of furniture layouts Collaborate with project teams and consultants Direct and review furniture installation plans, shop drawings and submittals for content, accuracy, and overall design integrity Coordinate all FF&E, interior plans and finishes with the client and project consultants as necessary Coordinate purchasing and presentation of artwork and accessories as needed Serve as principal contact for the purchasing agent Understands the BAMO design aesthetic required for each client Ability to prepare and present presentations Mentor junior and intermediate designers and interns in office standards Job Requirements:
College-level degree (interior design) Minimum of 8 years experience with high-end hospitality and/or residential projects Proficient in FF&E specifications and extensive knowledge of design resources Knowledge of design resources and evidence of creative sourcing Understanding of furniture construction, materials, and methods Take initiative and ownership of all tasks on projects Meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of all work produced Ability to supervise and direct project teams with minimal oversight Ability to mentor and direct staff Strong interpersonal, communication, and client management skills and experience Experience in managing project purchasing, installations and styling Detail-oriented and thorough Positive attitude, team-oriented, flexible, and productive Experience with CAD, In Design, Sketch Up, Illustrator, Photoshop, and hand sketching Benefits Summary:
