Description
As Videographer, you will operate portable mobile cameras as well as peripherals to develop and conceive photography and visual effects via framing and original camera shots, with a view to meeting and anticipating the program's desired objectives as well as artistic, dramatic and other intentions. You will also be responsible for coordinating the installation and verification of the equipment under your control as well as the transfer of the collected material. During productions in the field maybe called on to serve in the role of Assistant Producer. Serve as the Video Editor for the project for which the footage was captured.
Work Schedule:
Monday- Thursday (including on-call and Days/Shift may vary).
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as Camera Operator video productions both in studio and in the field. Help train other Camera Operators as needed for various shoots. Serve as an Assistant Producer and Lighting Assistant as needed on various field productions. Designs, transports, sets up, and operates production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions. Computer editing of video segments on a variety digital formats. Completes trouble and preventive maintenance reports on video and audio production equipment. Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate with a college degree in Television or the equivalent desirable. Five years minimum experience in camera operation in field production. Five years' experience as a video Editor KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Well versed in Broadcast camera operation. Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud suite. Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment. Ability to effectively manage time and schedules. Ability to configure, operate and maintain studio and/or field audio, lighting and associated production equipment. Knowledge of professional audio and/or video editing and post-production procedures, techniques, and standards. EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
Television equipment systems, including but not limited to: video formats, field and studio lighting, and teleprompter. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stand for a minimum of seven hours per day Must be able to lift 50 lbs Requires normal range of hearing and vision Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment Ability to work up to 25 feet above the ground using a ladder Requires manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans Must be very organized and require minimum instruction Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorable in all work situations Must be detailed, organized and communicative Must be task and goal oriented Requires the ability to multi-task Must adapt well to changing work situations Must be able to grasp and apply new ideas Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions Must relate and interact with people at all levels Must have good command of the English language and be able to proofread work WORKING CONDITIONS

General working conditions are similar to any other teleproduction facilities. As a key crew member will be required to travel throughout the US and overseas as KCM convention and broadcast acquisition needs dictate. Working conditions on remote productions are typical to such productions. Physical disabilities would limit one's effectiveness on remote production. Must be able to travel and be away from home for several weeks at a time, several times each year. OTHER:
