Purpose:Provide project management leadership in Messer applications and technologies at customer sites. To include budgeting, layout, execution, start up, training, and post-sales support of applications related to Metals, Chemicals, Energy, Food, and Manufacturing industry segments.Principal ResponsibilitiesSafely supervise Linde approved contractors and customer's agents to install and start up Messer's industrial gas applications. To include cryogenic food freezers and chilling systems, combustion panels and burner systems, controlled atmosphere mixing panels and injection systems, chemical and pharmaceutical applications, energy hydrogen fuel cell delivery systems, laser gas delivery systems, etc.
Job Description
Purpose of the position:
The Expediter, Capital Projects, is responsible for tracking and reporting on the status of equipment purchases after the PO has been placed. They will regularly be in contact with all vendors to receive reports on progress. This will include the appropriate inspections. The efforts of the expeditor feed directly into the project planning process.
Principal Responsibilities:Contact vendors, follow up orders, verify goods status, and to determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers of potential delays.Compile, record and report on PO performance against terms (especially delivery) to management and key stakeholdersFollows-up on past due items and update estimated delivery dates and prepare periodic reports of material delays and backordered items.Performs material expediting, receipt verification, and storage preparation for urgent priority material requirements.Locates critical items required for the project and coordinate with Project Managers to advance project time frames.Ensure interdepartmental communication providing continuous update for improved coordination of PE and ProcurementQualifications:
Minimum undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or relevant business with progressively increasing responsibilities required,At least 2 years in an expediting role or procurement activities for industrial plants or construction. Six Sigma or Lean Tools expertise desiredUnderstand P2P process and have the experience of using various procurement technologies and tools Spanish or Portuguese is a plusMultinational experienceFunctional Skills:
