Compensation Base Range:$80,000.00 - $95,000.00 Annually

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a senior technical writer your responsibilities will include creating, editing, and maintaining consumer-facing user documentation including user guides, assembly manuals, troubleshooting steps, part replacement instructions, maintenance/service steps, and exploded view reference diagrams. You will write for a variety of audiences, from non-technical end users to skilled maintenance technicians. You must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work for you and others, and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will write for a variety of audiences, from non-technical end users to skilled maintenance technicians. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Work with product managers, product marketing, engineers, customer service, and legal to produce and maintain world-class documentation, including User Guides, Assembly Manuals, troubleshooting and maintenance guidelines, part replacement instructions, and exploded-view reference diagrams.
- Think like a customer to create easy-to-follow instruction manuals for our products to ensure seamless and hassle-free assembly
- Coordinate cross-functional review of new documentation
- Ability to efficiently and thoroughly address feedback on published content from both customers and internal support representatives
- Design and develop a standardized service manual format and template
- Meet critical deadlines to support new product launches
- Schedule and prioritize workload for self and other technical writer/drafter
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Expected to plan and assign the technical writing workload of drafter(s).
- Expected to train drafters in following new manual formats and in use of Adobe InDesign as needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred
- 5+ years related experience and/or training preferred
- Expert level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
- Experience in SolidWorks Composer
- Experience in Microsoft Suite required
