Do you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.The Regional Auction Manager is responsible for contributing to the growth of Sixt Rent A Car revenue by establishing and maintaining relationships with auctions and non-auction partners (OEMs) to drive volume. This includes the development, planning and execution of growth strategies for each Auction as well as serving as the Auction’s relationship manager to facilitate and coordinate the needs of an Auction. The primary responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with Auctions, collaborating with the Auctions to set a mutually beneficial and realistic annual strategic plan to drive Auction growth and Sixt Rent A Car volume, set up promotional items and large partner sales, and work with the OEM partners to brand Sixt Rent A Car premium brand image within the market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Identify and acquire new Auction relationships/partners that help support and drive our disposal needs. This may also require integration though an API feed.

Collaborate with the direct dealer sales team to develop strategic concepts, pricing, and identify opportunities to increase volume in existing and future Auctions partners.

Work with Auction partners to develop a mutually beneficial plan to drive the growth in Auction sales with the goal of increasing sale percentage and elevate prices through this channel.

Work with Auctions to enhance lane positioning and times, increase CR scores to represent our premium brand, while increasing on-going dealer participation.

Work and collaborate with OEM partners, both open and closed sales to establish presence and supplement inventory needed to enhance dealer interaction.

Establish and achieve performance targets as set by the company by regularly engaging with Auction clients (in person and virtually) and by collaborating with operations and field Remarketing to establish consistency throughout the local markets.

Be the auctions main contact.

Responsible for representing the units across the block.

Auction manager will represent/sell– wholesale (rental and retail), trade in, and salvage units across the block.

Work with auctioneers to establish credibility and communication.

Identify, manage, and resolve issues and conflicts with Auction partners.

Establish best practices to drive efficiency.

Enhance marketing efforts to promote auctions signed up to increase dealer base.

Knowledge of AutoIMS.

Knowledge of regional pricing process for all disposal channels to maximize revenue generation and minimize holding cost.

Experience analyzing historical remarketing data as well as current and future trends to develop comprehensive remarketing plans.

Evaluate current practices of vehicle disposal methods and prepare recommendations in line with overall business strategy.

Vendor Partnerships - Establish National Agreements (windshields, PDR, Key Replacement, Tires, Wheel Repair, etc..) to help reduce cost with Auction Partners.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of the automotive and auction industry (various sectors).

Extensive knowledge of the auction remarketing industry (various sectors).

Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with auction clients, collaborate with internal team members, and external partners at various levels within the organization.

Strong time management skills with ability to manage deadlines.

Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a remote environment.

Ability to maintain a high level of safety awareness and take necessary safety precautions.

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

8 years of experience in the automotive industry strongly preferred;

3 years of experience in auction industry strongly preferred;

3 years of experience in the rental car industry strongly preferred.

Physical Demands:

Travel: 20% to 40% with overnight travel required.

Ability to travel, fly, drive.

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

Valid driver’s license required for this position.
