Our client is seeking a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) , you will be responsible for designing and managing the implementation of structured cabling systems for data, voice, and video communication networks. Your role will be critical in planning, coordinating, and ensuring that all telecommunication infrastructures meet project and industry standards, guaranteeing performance, reliability, and compliance in support of a DoD contract located in Silver Spring, MD.

Before applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop comprehensive telecommunications distribution systems, including structured cabling for data, voice, and video communications.Create and manage design documentation, technical drawings, and specifications using tools such as AutoCAD and Visio.Conduct site surveys and needs assessments to gather project requirements and identify potential challenges.Oversee the installation, testing, and implementation of telecommunications infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure designs and installations comply with relevant industry standards (TIA/EIA, ANSI, BICSI), codes, and best practices.Provide technical expertise and guidance to installation teams, offering solutions for complex design and installation issues.Perform quality assurance and control checks to validate that installations meet design specifications and safety regulations.Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is required.Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.A minimum of

5 years

of experience in telecommunications design and implementation.Expertise in telecommunications standards, including TIA/EIA, ANSI, and BICSI.Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, Visio, or other related tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently under tight deadlines.Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
