Job Title:Group Creative Director
Pay Details:The annual base salary range for this position in California is $160,000 to $200,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.
As Orange County's groundbreaking smart district, we're redefining what it means to inspire, engage, and captivate the curious class. As the Group Creative Director for OCVIBE, this role will be responsible for developing and executing integrated creative campaigns that enhance the OCVIBE brand and bring our story to life for a variety of B2B and B2C audiences.
You'll orchestrate campaigns that span the full spectrum of our offerings – from pulse-pounding entertainment and one-of-a-kind special events to avant-garde dining experiences and curated retail adventures. Your work will not only promote our various business segments but will also weave them into a cohesive narrative that embodies the spirit of OCVIBE. The Group Creative Director will guide a team of diverse creative professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and excellence.
This role reports directly to the Executive Creative Director and works closely with the other creative teams and content team. This is an exciting opportunity to define the first round of work for an emerging experiential district and define the first go-to-market campaigns and creative that will establish OCVIBE as a true design destination.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of creatives, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure successful project execution.
Set creative expectations and provide guidance to the team to make sure they are met.
Develop and execute creative campaigns that enhance the OCVIBE brand and engage guests and partner companies through creative marketing, high impact fan activations, digital design and more.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, sponsorship and sales to develop integrated campaigns that align with business goals and objectives.
Oversee the development of creative assets across multiple channels, ensuring consistency and quality across all touchpoints.
Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and industry best practices to inform creative strategy and execution.
Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to ensure high-quality work and timely project delivery.
Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the team and across the organization.
Be a true leader who communicates the value of strong creative across the organization.
Skills
8-10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role within an agency or in-house creative team.
Experience managing external vendors, agencies, and partners to ensure high-quality work and timely project delivery.
A proven track record of developing and executing creative strategies that drive business results.
A strong portfolio showcasing a range of culturally relevant creative work across multiple channels and touchpoints.
A deep understanding of branding, marketing, and customer experience principles and best practices.
Understanding of integrated marketing and executing 360° campaigns.
Deep understanding of lifestyle, entertainment, and hospitality industries.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Exceptional conceptual and storytelling abilities.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEducation - Bachelor's Degree
