In this role, you will have the opportunity to process alternate formats requests on behalf of hundreds of consumers and beneficiaries throughout California. Your work will ensure that people’s right to accessible information is met, upholding the LightHouse’s reputation for promoting independence, community, and equity created by and with blind and low vision people. It includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:Fulfilling alternate formats requests of informing materials in braille, large print, and text-to-speech.Record-keeping related to quality control and compliance with contractual agreements.Utilize Microsoft 365 apps such Teams, SharePoint, and Planner to work effectively with the team, with an openness to learning and employing new technologies for improved communication and project coordination.Engage in all aspects of print and braille production, including running print/emboss jobs, bursting/cutting, collating, binding/stapling, labeling, quality control, and shipping.Contribute to a dynamic team environment, embodying our guiding principles and fostering the LightHouse’s culture of collaboration and innovation.QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of experience in Alternate Media Production or related fields.Proficient in Duxbury Braille Translator.Proficient with Adobe Acrobat Pro/DC accessibility features.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft 365 apps. Basic knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.LOC Certificate in Literary Braille Transcribing is a plus.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Exceptional problem-solving, and communication skills.Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.Experience working in the blindness field or disability community preferred.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fulfill Alternate Format Requests (AFR)Maintain project files, including tracking progress, preparing status reports, and ensuring all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.Assist in all aspects of print and braille production, including running print/emboss jobs, bursting/cutting, collating, binding/stapling, labeling, quality control, and shipping.Must be able to lift 40 lbs.Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.Help maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
