Performs non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision; considerable CADD skills are required to visualize and portray complex design features.May determine drawing sequence and presentation.Has working knowledge of land development engineering criteria and understands agency requirements and approval process.Works closely with Project Managers; may recommend minor design changes requiring sound judgment and discretion and perform simple design calculations.Reviews work performed by CAD Technicians I and II before submitting to Project Engineer.May guide or be assisted by other technicians.Prepare cost and quantity estimates.Job Requirements
5+ years of computer drafting experience.Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D is a must.Should have working knowledge of CAD manual drafting techniques and CAD standards.Knowledge of construction plan preparation for land and/or site development projects.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Works well in a team-oriented environment.BGE is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
