The Manager, Learning and Development Design will foster and support an inclusive and high performing training and delivery operation with a focus on World Class instructional design, partnership with safety, and best practices in LMS management for compliance standards and user experience.

Job Duties

With a project management mindset, lead the design, development and implementation of effective training programs.

Supervise the content development specialist in creating interactive, World Class Training while meeting deadlines and supporting successful collaborations with SMEs, providing coaching as needed.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training delivery programs, using metrics and feedback to continually refine training strategies to improve quality and delivery of training in alignment with business goals.

Guide a team in design and implementation of training evaluations including developing measurement tools to collect feedback on training impact, learning retention, and effectiveness of learning programs and materials while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality.

Direct the work of the LMS administrator to optimize the use of McGee's learning management systems (LMS) to deliver and track team member training, compliance, and outcomes.

Oversee the project tracking system, ensuring all development and maintenance projects are progressing to completion.

Ensure McGee maintains the highest standards for training compliance in alignment with federal, local, and airline requirements, as well as scorecard metrics.

Manage communications with leadership, key stakeholders, HDQ, and McGee team members regarding training requirements, expectations, and the launch of new training programs or courses.

In collaboration with station training managers and safety teams, review existing training programs; implement enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization, clients, or the industry.

Run reports and track training metrics using Cornerstone and Tableau. Support compliance efforts across all stations.

Act as in-house expert on non-technical compliance training (e.g. sexual harassment, ethics, and workplace conduct).

Serve as creative director for photo and video shoots, oversee post-production work, and manage equipment.

Demonstrate and maintain open and honest communication, creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture that demonstrates McGee's values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability, and Pride.

Other duties as assigned to support McGee's Business Operational Success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in adult education, teaching, communications or relevant field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2-5 years of experience managing training development projects and intermediate-level learning management systems use.

Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theories and the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Method.

Knowledge of content management practices.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and SharePoint, as well as solid photography, videography, and graphic design skills.

Proficiency with Cornerstone, Articulate 360 Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other course design and LMS software required.

Project management experience with demonstrated success in managing multiple, competing priorities, resource planning, negotiation, conflict resolution and problem resolution skills.

Capable of influencing and engaging in partnership with others to accomplish common objectives. Flexible approach with a team-oriented work style.

Ability to multi-task, remain organized, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
