Reporting to the Director of Design, a Senior Designer plays a pivotal role in shaping BILL’s visual identity and elevating our brand, by collaborating closely across BILL’s Marketing org to develop impactful work that delivers strong business outcomes. They are responsible for driving fresh ideas, concepts, and design systems in the BILL brand, delivering high-bar design for marketing assets across digital and OOH campaigns, website design, collateral, content and email marketing, event signage, swag, and more. They partner with Brand Strategists, Creative Directors, Copywriters, and Marketing partners to interpret and deliver upon strategic creative briefs for complex and large projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Act autonomously as a design lead throughout fast-paced creative workflows to deliver high-bar and impactful creative marketing assets.

Interpret and contribute to strategic briefs, evaluating and proposing multiple concepts and creative approaches inline with business needs.

Succinctly present work, logic, and feedback to senior leadership and stakeholders across Marketing and other BILL organizations.

Maintain and share up-to-date expertise and best practices relevant to common workstreams.

Anticipate, flag, and propose solutions to avoid potential bottlenecks and roadblocks.

Actively manage personal career development, including defining and tracking quarterly goals.

We’d love to chat if you have:

5+ years of visual design experience in an in-house creative studio or agency.

An exceptional portfolio showcasing a high standard for typography and visual design.

Strong conceptual abilities and a talent for storytelling.

Technical motion design skills would be advantageous.

Exceptional communication skills, able to clearly convey design intent and advocate for their work.

Strong organizational skills, collaborative mindset, and adept at working cross-functionally.

The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role: $99,800—$124,800 USD. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
