As a Content Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and clarity of written content across various platforms both in print and digital.As a Content Editor, factoring the users experience into manuals, app content, recipe books, blogs, paid ads, and website copy is paramount. Your suggestions and edits are critical to the success of the content. With a diverse range of copy and content to oversee, this editor must be able to work effectively and quickly to meet tight deadlines.Responsibilities:Proofread, edit, review, and sometimes write various content according to brand voice and consumer usabilityRewrite or restructure content to improve readability and flow, while maintaining the intended meaning and tone.Stay updated on industry trends, style guides, and best practices in editing and publishing.Conduct final reviews of content before publication to identify and correct any errors.Ensure adherence to copyright laws and ethical guidelines in all published material.Exhibit strong editing skills for print and digital copy.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.Work closely with the marketing copywriter and technical copywriterCollaborate with the entire creative marketing team to develop concepts and campaigns for our in-house brandsWork on various content: product listings, website copy, emails, blogs, video scripts, user manuals, print materials (e.g., recipe books), packaging, social mediaMaintain attention to details in a fast-paced environment to ensure no grammatical errors are made, or consumer usability is compromisedQualifications:Strong command of English language and grammarThorough editing and strong writing skills, yet flexibility to accommodate both creative and technical styles, print and digital platformsProficiency in using editing tools and style guides (e.g., AP Stylebook, Chicago Manual of Style).Ability to thrive in fast and diverse work environment with multiple high priority projectsExperience with consumer goods, electronics, home appliances, apps, and/or smart devices is a plusExposure to technical writing is a plus but not necessaryStrong attention to details is a must!
