Creator Experience , providing tools for 3D modeling, animation, complete SDLC, and testing for teams and individual game developers.The Studio Platform Team provides the foundation for every team and third-party developer that works on Studio by building the core application experience, architecture, and UX fundamentals. This role does not require experience in the aforementioned; large-scale desktop application experience will suffice. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and work in our San Mateo, CA HQ 3 days a week (Tuesdays to Thursdays).You are:Passionate about core user features - explorer, properties, windowing systemsKnowledgeable about foundational application architectureExperienced with UX designers for overall design language for StudioFamiliar with UX component frameworksFamiliar with central backend systemsYou will:Oversee the architecture and technical direction that will be the future of our applicationWork across teams and technology platforms to ensure our solutions are universal and expansiveDesign, develop, and implement best technological practices and strategiesMentor team members and help them improve their professional skills and expertiseUnderstand and be able to read and write software source code in the C++ and Lua programming languagesWrite design documents that describe the construction and operation of softwareWork with design teams on User Interface designs and translate them into software designsUse metrics, crash reports, and user submissions to track down and repair software errorsCollaborate with team members via email, messaging, video conferencing, and in-officeYou Have:10+ years of experience in developing and deploying top user-facing applicationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical field6+ years of experience with C++ requiredExperience with UI frameworks like QT/QML, React, Cocoa, or WPF requiredProficiency in industry standards, best practices, and design patternsExperience approaching a problem from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutionsFor roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
