Parenting and Adoption Support Services : Providing parenting classes and services for divorced/separated parents, family reunification for individuals impacted by adoption, and comprehensive support for Georgia's adoptive and foster families.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Families First is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to join our Funds Development team. Thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Marketing Specialist will collaborate with the Funds Development Team and senior leadership to drive the marketing and outreach strategies for the organization.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Communications
Take a lead role in the development, research, writing, and production of a variety of publications and collateral materials
Create and maintain an ongoing agency marketing calendar
Attend agency events, conduct interviews, and seek out stories to convey the work of Families First
Assist with agency branding by helping to ensure all branding materials are consistent throughout the agency
Digital Marketing
Develop content (graphics and copy) and post to social mediachannels multiple times a week
Oversee agency website and provide basic agency website updates
Stay updated on current and emerging technology trends, and incorporate innovative solutions where applicable
Event Promotion & Production
Collaborates with Funds Development team to produce and promote special events, including planning, coordination, execution, and celebration of events
Coordination of clients and/or Families First staff to participate in promotional/event video’s, sizzle reels, etc.
Track and execute all marketing/branding benefits for sponsors/donors levels i.e., social media postings, signage, etc.
Implement marketing strategies to maximize event attendance and reach target audiences
Publicity
Work with program directors to develop marketing strategies to potential clients
Update, develop, and maintain program flyers, brochures, and websites descriptions to promote Families First programs to potential clients
Public Relations
Assist with media relations for special events, issue briefings, and grant announcements
Seekout public relations opportunities to increase positive media coverage of Families First
Administration
Work closely with graphic design contractor, publishers, and other vendors to ensure impactful and on-time projects
Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
Track and present marketing activities and outcomes for each campaign, event, or project
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must reside within or in close proximity to themetro Atlanta area due to the hybrid work arrangement, which includes both in person and remote responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
At least 3 years of nonprofit marketing experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Advanced level computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Digital and social media marketing and management (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Meta, Google Analytics, Google Ads)
Online marketing platforms, including Canva and MailChimp
Photography and photo editing
Knowledge of Word Press preferred

Will meet with staff, vendors, etc., throughout the facility and in the community.
Some evening and weekend work required.
