Job Description:
What will you work on?
As Outdoor Design Manager, you will lead a team of designers and guide them throughout the execution of global toys in our Outdoor category; from concept through production, and ensuring performance, cost, quality, and schedule adherence. You will work closely with large cross-functional teams (Product Development, Marketing, Brand Management, Quality, Brand Design, etc.) and evaluate individual design deliverables alongside team performance, delivering critical feedback when necessary.
How will you create impact?
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure milestones and integration are according to schedule and ensure all projects are delivered on-cost, on-spec, on-time.Impart expert training and skills to team members in all aspects of the product cycle, including developing play patterns, key features, spec and model development and understanding of manufacturabilityCollaborate with Design Lead on product review meetings and create action plan for deliverables.Create a cohesive and collaborative working environment.Anticipate, analyze, resolve, and escalate issues related to project, schedule, or cross departmental challengesDrive productivity by implementing design for manufacturing/assembly up frontManage and track key deliverables and proactively resolve future issues to keep the product on track, on cost, and on specificationImprove efficiency in the design process through continuous improvementLiaise with the Design Lead, Design Director and to deliver innovative results that support the brand strategyWhat are your skills and experience?
Experience in the consumer products industry; toy package design preferred.Advanced knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and AcrobatA strong sense of design and good use of typographyThe anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in New York City is $120,000 to $150,000 per annum. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states
