Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Color, Material and Finish Design Manager to join our growing creative community at Stanley. In this role you will report directly to the Senior Director of CMF & Graphic Design. You will partner closely with CMF design, product management, innovation, industrial design and product development teams ensuring alignment and CMF design oversight across all stages of product creation and channels of color, material and finish design.

This role is Seattle based, hybrid work environment, with flexible in office days.

Responsibilities

Support alignment and oversight across inline product assortments and key product partners within the Stanley business.

Think strategically about consumer driven design, product positioning, product timing and collections.

Manage design workflow, process and systems with a focus on transparency and team collaboration.

Drive functional process improvements that optimize efficiencies and champion design goals.

Lead as a strategic creative partner to cross-category teams and contributors.

Champion PLM implementation and drive process improvements.

Support continued development and implementation of go to market calendars.

Education and Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in design leadership roles within CMF, hardgoods, soft goods, apparel design or related industry experience.

Minimum 5 years’ experience leading creative teams and managing designers.

Creative curiosity and an exceptional eye for aesthetics; a finger on the pulse of trend, culture, and innovative design thinking.

Experience with diverse and complex product creation and development processes.

Experience working on retail, wholesale and brand partnerships.

Experience with on product artwork application and methods.

Creative, collaborative, and confident.

Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbally and visually.

Comfortable with ‘progression’ in the context of multiple iterations of testing and learning.

Flexible and adaptable due to the evolving needs of a growing brand.

Must have consumer goods design experience.

Ability to travel if required.

Salary Range

$120,000-$150,000

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
