Marketing Internship

Nashville Superspeedway, an elite venue within the Speedway Motorsports portfolio, is seeking current college students who are looking to gain internship experience working in marketing and social media within the sports and entertainment industry.

Responsibilities:

Work with the internal marketing team to continue building the Nashville Superspeedway brand through: event marketing, social and digital media, and the fan experienceAssist team at track and/or community events during and after nontraditional work hours by transporting and setting up the tent, table, and other promotional items.Assist team at track and/or community events by building relationships with fans, providing information about our track and upcoming events, promote our NASCAR tripleheader and IndyCar race weekends, capture email addresses on site, and facilitate giveaway opportunities.Contribute to daily collaborative ideation and execution across all digital platforms including website, social media, and appMonitor activity on social platforms in the sports space, focusing on NASCAR and current trendsMonitor social media posts/comments, replies, etc. on a regular basis to understand consumer feedback, complaints and issues, communicating information quickly to appropriate staff in order to respond in a timely mannerHelp to identify social media influencers within the motorsport industry, Nashville area, etc.Assist with the reporting and analysis of social, email, and website metricsBasic Qualifications:

Desire to learn and grow within the marketing space, including but not limited to: social media, website, app, events, fan experienceKnowledge and understanding of sports and entertainment (media) landscapes, pop culture, etc.Possesses a strong understanding of social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) and a thirst for staying on top of the latest trendsBasic website understandingStrong writing and copyediting skills in addition to creative thinkingExperience with photography and videographyExperience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, AfterEffects)Strong communication skills, both verbally and in written formAbility to take direction and work independentlyAbility to work irregular hours including nights and weekends as neededPrefer Qualifications:

Knowledge of, and passion for, NASCAR and its historyFamiliarity of Nashville and Middle Tennessee a plus

Interns will have the ability to play an integral, hands-on role in the growth and enhancement of the Nashville Superspeedway brand in preparation for its annual NASCAR Cup, Xfinity and Truck Series races.

The is a paid internship during the Spring semester and will run from January through the first week of June. Interested persons should apply through TeamWork Online.
