Overview Of the Role:
This role is a pivotal piece in AgeOptions' leadership team and growth strategy. Overseeing the organization's relationship development strategy, marketing initiatives and grant writing efforts. This position is instrumental in driving revenue development and responsible for increasing awareness of AgeOptions' services, programs and impact within the community. This position will have a small but mighty team dedicated to these efforts.
Lead the development of strategies and activities to establish and cultivate partnerships with foundations and corporations.
Initiate and cultivate large scale relationships with managed care organizations, Healthcare plans, foundations and other key stakeholders. Actively lead and participate in the proposal process, ensuring the successful securing of contracts, grants and partnerships.
Lead grant writing and business proposal development efforts.
Lead Marketing and external communication efforts.
Responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan for events to include partnership and resource development, community education and more.
Coach, Develop and guide a team of professionals. Evaluates and gives feedback to the team, ensures efforts are highly effective and resources are used appropriately.
Plans and manages budgets for assigned programs, identifies and researches sponsorships and funding opportunities.
Required Experience:
Who are we looking for? Someone with---
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
At least 5 years demonstrated experience and success in the areas of Development, Marketing or Corporate Sponsorships in a nonprofit setting to include some event management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM systems a plus
Familiarity with various social media platforms
Key Competencies or experiences for success--
Proactive and self-motivated, results oriented and able to plan and execute on strategy or roll your sleeves up to bring a project to completion, with the ability to take initiative while considering the diverse needs and perspectives of others
Ability to implement long-term goals and strategies that align with the agency's mission, vision, values and objectives. A strong understanding of the aspects to make informed decisions that contribute to our success
Passionate communicator, who is equally comfortable in front of a crowd or delivering a written message. Able to synthesize information and communicate at various levels adapting to different situations
Experience working cross-culturally to effectively engage with diverse groups and communities
Active and organized meeting planning and event coordination skills
Experienced People Leader Leader with a keen sense to build high performing teams as well as develop individually
