Job Description
We're seeking a strategic, creative and results-drive public relations director to lead Allstate's public relations function and build it for the future. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record collaborating with partners in marketing, social, creative and insights to develop and execute high-impact integrated public relations strategies and campaigns that drive brand consideration and strengthen reputation. The role will oversee Allstate's corporate, brand and social impact public relations.
**This is a Chicago-based role with hybrid work arrangement.**
Key Responsibilities: Strategy:
Develop and implement public relations strategies that position the company to achieve its business, reputation and community impact goals. Integrated campaigns:
Lead, develop and execute high-impact integrated PR campaigns with partners in consumer marketing, sports and sponsorships, social media, creative and insights. Media relations:
Build trusted relationships with reporters, prepare Allstate leaders to deliver successful media interviews and serve as spokesperson. Strategic counsel:
Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders to inform business decisions and guide the company's media approach to issues management. Measurement:
Establish PR measurement system with support of Allstate's insights team to measure the effectiveness of PR, inform future strategies and drive business value. Future-oriented:
Stay at the forefront of media landscape, cultural trends, PR and measurement strategies to position Allstate's PR function to lead. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job will have supervisory responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications: Education and Experience 12+ years of experience Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None Functional Skills Extensive integrated PR expertise, with a focus in brand PR Exceptional communicator and ability to influence stakeholders across channels and media Strong strategic mindset, with ability to translate business objectives into integrated PR strategies Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams through change Strong strategic counsel and ability to influence at all levels of the company Proven experience mitigating potential reputation issues through strategic media relations Proficient in PR measurement and demonstrating business results through it Strong, motivational leader with a track record of developing high-performing individuals and teams Skills Customer Centricity, Digital Literacy, Inclusive Leadership, Learning Agility, Results-Oriented
Compensation Compensation offered for this role is $173,250.00 - 224,437.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
