POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing & Business Development, the Marketing Manager performs a key leadership role in the execution of brand-marketing activities, including the development of the brand marketing strategies, corporate and industry events, packaging design and the development of communications with trade partners and consumers. This position will also contribute sales performance in support of the company's Mission, Vision & Values.

Work Location:

Hybrid (minimum 3 days in office) at our Los Angeles, California headquarters with up to 25% travel to customer account locations, company locations, trade shows and industry events.

Salary Transparency (California Pay Disclosure Law):

Pursuant to California law, we are disclosing the salary range for this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Base Salary Range:

$110,000 - $130,000

Target Total Cash Range:

$121,000 - $143,000

Target total cash represents this role's annualized cash earning potential at target, contingent on company performance and individual attainment of goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the marketing team in the execution of all marketing activities, setting priorities, assignment of tasks, and training the staff for success.

• Responsible for completing performance reviews for the marketing team, providing actionable feedback on performance, and developing individual development plans to grow and develop the marketing team's talent including goals and expectations for success.

• Brand Management leadership in the development of the company's long-term planning that identifies new business opportunities, markets, and partners.

• Develop strategic plans for the PTF brand that increases the brand equity and positions the brand with the desired target in the marketplace.

• Manage the intangible elements/experience that consumers have with the brand and the objective of the desired reputation of the PTF brand.

• Create marketing plans to target B2B customers and B2C consumers.

• Develop brand and style guidelines and ensure consistent adherence to guidelines for all marketing materials, packaging, and activities and implementation of a style guide.

• Manage ongoing costs to ensure budget alignment and develops the marketing budget of the company and allocates resources to maximize impact and value.

• Prioritize events, trade shows and campaigns and remain within budget.

• Lead the brand to consumer-driven, profitable, and sustainable growth.

• Contribute to the strategic planning process of the company brand based on key consumer insights to enhance current portfolio and improve communication with consumers.

• Analyze fresh produce market trends to identify the opportunity of growth.

• Monitor and analyze our competition.

• Optimize PTF's presence, brand image and positioning on eCommerce platforms and leverage promotional opportunities to generate product sales and brand value.

• Identify best campaign opportunities to promote product depending on goals.

• Leads all marketing events from the planning stage, booth design and setup, educational materials, company literature, product presentation, handouts, food samples.

• Develop (B2B Event) strategies to participate in produce industry trade shows to achieve maximum exposure with potential and current customers.

• Liaise with media and advertising agencies in the creative development process and execution of all advertising and public relationship opportunities.

• Development and planning of ad campaigns, press releases, and interviews in trade publications, and social media outlets.

• Make public presentations of company profile.

• Develop and execute social media events, contests, giveaways, or promotions that present the brand to our target audience.

• Work with our retail partners to showcase our brand at the point of purchase. Showcase Growers, Local Product, Seasonal Items.

• Lead visual media, pictures, and graphic design for the production of advertising, signage, Point of purchase displays, online content.

• Develop and maintain our online presence strategy by creating relevant content that resonates within the targeted market and ensure search engine optimization, to keep site current.

• Leading eye-catching/innovative packaging creation from start to finish including but not limited to bags, labels, boxes, etc.

• Collaborating with other departments, including but not limited to Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Food Safety, and Accounting to align quality management strategies with overall business objectives, determine process and add efficiency. Ensuring effective communication and coordination to optimize the operation and minimize bottlenecks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Any combination of education and experience likely to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, typically:

• Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree, in marketing, agriculture business or closely related degree from an accredited institution or equivalent years of experience.

• 5+ years of marketing experience in the food industry. Fresh produce preferred.

• 4+ years of salaried management experience in leading and managing a marketing department and team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.

• Knowledge of budget management and resource allocation in a marketing context.

• Familiarity with market analysis and competitive landscape evaluation.
